Kinky hair, classified as type 4 according to André Walker's classification, is characterized by a dense hair texture and very tight curls that can sometimes form "Z" patterns. Kinky hair is divided into three subcategories: type 4A kinky hair has tight, well-defined spiral curls. Type 4B kinky hair has zigzag-shaped curls that are less defined and more compact. 4C hair, on the other hand, has extremely tight, sometimes almost invisible curls with significant shrinkage when dried. This hair is naturally dry and fragile and will therefore require care rich in hydration and nutrition to maintain its suppleness, strength and natural beauty.
