PRODUCTS

Can the Actikids range be used before the age of 3?

Products for children under 3 years old are baby products. The Actikids range is intended only for children aged 3 and over. However, if your child is under 3 years old, you can use Natural Extracts (pure vegetable oils that can be mixed with mineral water or not). We particularly recommend Sweet Almond oil, which is suitable for younger children.

What is a co-wash / gentle cleansing cream?

This is a gentle cleansing cream that serves as an alternative and allows you to space out "real" shampoos. Indeed, co-wash contains cleansing molecules that are much gentler than shampoo and will therefore help get rid of dust, perspiration, and sea salt, without damaging the hair fiber or scalp. Co-wash has also been formulated for daily use.

What is the difference between a leave-in and a cream?

The difference between these two products lies mainly in their textures and therefore in their composition. Indeed, leave-ins are richer in water and are closer to a milk texture. They will suit people with low porosity, who like to moisturize their hair with light textures and who do not want to weigh it down. Creams are much thicker and richer in oils, they are therefore heavier and will suit hair with high porosity. Depending on your needs, you can combine a leave-in and a cream for maximum hydration.

Why don't some of your shampoos lather much?

Some shampoos do not contain Sodium Laureth/Lauryl Sulfate, which is the most common detergent molecule. We have replaced it with cleansing agents that are much gentler on hair and scalp, and less harmful to the environment. They allow for a cleaner, finer lather.

What products should I use for transitioning hair?

For hair in transition, everything will depend on your hair type at the root. We recommend focusing on your natural hair to keep it healthy, and adapting the use of these products to relaxed lengths. Depending on your hair type, you can use the Actiforce range (kinky/curly), Natural Touch (kinky and fine), or Acticurl (curly). Ideally, braid the relaxed lengths to soften the difference in texture.

Can Activilong products be used on pregnant women?

The following products are enriched with essential oils and are therefore not suitable for pregnant women: Rosemary Shampoo, Actigro Serum, Root Complex. Regarding other Activilong products, there are no contraindications for their use on pregnant women. However, these products are scented, so make sure you are not allergic to the ingredients listed on the INCI list on the back of the product.

Can the Actikids range be used on an adult?

You can use the Actikids range on your adult hair. It's a range designed for children, but also suitable for adults. Indeed, if you're looking for a natural, vegan-friendly range with a hypoallergenic fragrance and a gentle pH, then the Actikids range is for you.

Can we mix several ranges?

You can mix and match all the ranges to suit your hair needs. For example, you can moisturize and nourish with the Actiforce range and define curls with the Curl Activating Gel from the Acticurl range. Or, use shampoos/masks from one range and leave-in products from another. There are no contraindications; the key is to listen to your hair's needs.

How do I activate the Actiforce / Actikids spray?

Before turning on the Actiforce Softening Mist pump and the Actikids Detangling Spray pump, you must first unlock it. To do this, press the small push button provided for this purpose, which is located at the base of the pump.

INGREDIENTS

Are vegetable oils cold-pressed?

Some of our oils are organic and therefore produced through the first cold pressing process. The advantage of first cold pressing is that the resulting oils retain all their essential molecules (vitamins and fatty acids) intact. You can find this information on the product sheets for each oil.

Are Activilong products natural?

The Actiforce, Acticurl, Actigloss, and Actikids ranges contain at least 95% natural ingredients. We strive to ensure that these ranges are truly enriched with natural plant oils to provide all their benefits to your hair.

Are your products paraben-free?

All our products are guaranteed to be free from paraben-type preservatives.

Are your shampoos sulfate-free?

Shampoos from the Acticurl, Actiforce, Actikids and Actiliss ranges are guaranteed to be free from sulfated surfactants.

Are your ranges tested on animals?

Our products and ingredients are not tested on animals. It's important to know that animal testing of finished cosmetic products has been banned in France since 2004, and ingredient testing has been banned since 2009. In 2013, Europe passed a law banning the marketing of any new products and ingredients tested on animals. For years, the industry has been developing alternative methods to ensure its products are safe for humans.

Is there alcohol in leave-ins and creams?

There is no added alcohol such as ethanol (volatile and drying) in leave-ins and creams. Indeed, there are several types of alcohols that have completely different physical and chemical properties. In leave-ins and creams you will find fatty alcohols. They will be identified under the names "behenyl / cetyl / cetearyl alcohol" for example. In their pure state, they take on the appearance of a wax similar to beeswax. They are therefore fatty substances, non-toxic to the skin, which have emollient, nourishing and emulsion stabilizing properties.

Are there any silicones or silicone derivatives in your products?

In the Actiforce, Acticurl, Actigloss, and Control ranges, you won't find silicones or their derivatives. You will find them in some products in the Actiliss, Actirepair, and Natural Touch ranges. We strive to offer natural products that provide even more benefits for your hair.

What are proteins and what are they used for?

The hair fiber is composed primarily (91%) of proteins called keratin. Thus, adding proteins to hair products will help strengthen hair fibers damaged by chemical treatments, UV rays, or overly aggressive styling methods. Smaller protein sizes (hydrolyzed) can penetrate the fiber and improve hair hydration. As for larger protein sizes, they will form a sheath around the hair shaft. It is important to know that not all hair types appreciate large quantities of protein; protein-enriched treatments are generally suitable for porous and/or damaged hair.

What does the LCO method mean?

The LCO method is a routine for the driest hair, helping to maintain moisture for as long as possible. The term "LCO" comes from the English "liquid, cream, oil." The principle is to soften the hair with a water-rich texture, the liquid (a homemade spray, a mist, or a hair milk). Then, the hair is hydrated with a thicker cream texture and finally, the moisture is sealed with an oil or butter. This method is suitable for hair that dries quickly, with high porosity, for example.

What is porosity and how can you adapt your routine accordingly?

Hair porosity refers to its ability to absorb and maintain moisture. It is directly linked to the openness of the scales (cuticles) of the hair shaft. Highly porous hair has open scales, so it absorbs products quickly, but the moisture doesn't last because the products don't stay. Conversely, very low porosity hair has closed scales, so products have difficulty penetrating the hair fiber and can accumulate on the surface of the shaft. We therefore recommend a rich routine (LCO) for porous hair, with a thick moisturizer and an oil or butter to seal in moisture. For low porosity hair, you should favor lighter textures such as leave-in and oil.

Are Activilong products made in France?

All our products are manufactured in our laboratory located in the Paris region, France. The various product lines are designed in our offices, then formulated in our own laboratory, and finally produced on our production site. We have the advantage of being able to fully manage the development of a product from the initial idea to its launch on the market. This allows us to control and monitor the quality of our products, ensuring we offer you the best.

I have a problem with the quality of your products, what should I do?

If you encounter a quality issue with one of our products, we recommend contacting customer service by email at info@labomai.com. To process your request, we will need the name of the product range used, its batch number, and the date of purchase so that we can best assist you.

I had an allergic reaction to your products, what should I do?

If you experience an allergic reaction, we recommend rinsing your hair thoroughly with clean water and then contacting customer service by email at service-clients@shopactivilong.com and possibly consulting a specialist.

ORDERS, DELIVERIES AND RETURNS

I would like to test your products, can you send me samples?

We're sorry, but we're unable to send samples. However, we do offer free samples with product orders and at our events.

I can't find your product in my supermarket, is it still sold?

You can find all our currently available products on our website. Unfortunately, some items are not available at all retailers. We recommend inquiring directly with your local store.

How to place an order?

Add the products to your cart by clicking "add to cart." Once you're done shopping, go to your cart in the top right corner, choose your free trial doses, and then click "order." You can also modify the quantities at any time, and add or remove products.

How to use a promo code?

You can add a promo code by clicking on "Cart," which will detail the products you wish to purchase. On this page, you will find a section for adding the promo code. Type the code in the "Promo Code" box and click "Add." The total cost of the selected products will be automatically adjusted. Only one promo code can be used per transaction. Once the order is confirmed, you will not be able to change or apply the code.

How do I modify or cancel my order?

Send an email to customer service with your order number and details of the changes you need to make. If your order was picked up by the carrier, you'll have to wait for it to be returned by Colissimo before you can process your refund. Otherwise, we will refund your order.

What are the delivery times in mainland France?

Can I have it delivered to another address?

When confirming your order, you can choose between "delivery to your home address" or "add a new address." Select the desired address. This will be shown on the invoice.

What should I do if I am not there when my delivery is made?

The delivery person will leave a delivery notice in your mailbox. You will have 15 days from the delivery date to collect your order from the post office indicated on the notice.

Is payment on your site secure?

Your online payment on our site is 100% secure. The banking transaction will be carried out directly between you and the banking institution. Since no data is stored on our servers, the confidentiality of your banking information is guaranteed. In accordance with the legislation on electronic signatures, the online transmission of your card number for validation of your order constitutes proof of the order and makes the amounts you have agreed to pay for this order payable.

What are the different payment methods offered?

You are offered a choice between several payment methods:

Payment by credit card is made with our secure payment service provider. The transaction amount will be debited within 48 hours of payment. Accepted cards are Visa / Eurocard / Mastercard. BY PAYPAL You can pay for your purchases using the PAYPAL online payment service. All you need to do is create an account with PAYPAL. On PAYPAL, you also have the option to pay without creating an account with Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

What can I do if my payment is declined?

After entering your credit card information and confirming your order, our service provider will contact your bank to validate and authorize the payment. If your payment is declined, please contact your bank. RETURNS

Can I return the products in my order?

You have 14 days from receipt of your order to return the unopened product(s) to the following address:

Returned products must be in perfect saleable condition, the packaging must have been carefully opened. It must not have suffered any deterioration, even minimal, and be in a state of perfect cleanliness. Any damaged or incomplete product will not be refunded or exchanged. We will either refund the item via the same payment method used for the order or any other method you have expressly requested, or send a credit note for the value of the item, at your convenience. Obviously, if your desire to return the item is linked to an error by Activilong or a major manufacturing defect in the item, we invite you to contact our customer service so that we can tell you the procedure to follow and we will send the item again at our expense, of course. The return costs are at your expense.

What should I do if my order is incomplete or damaged upon receipt?

If your package has been opened and/or is damaged, you can refuse it. It will then be returned to us by the carrier. Contact Customer Service to report the claim. If you have accepted the package and find that it is not compliant, you will need the following items to attach to your claim: - In the case of a damaged or broken product: a photo of the entire package and the label, a photo of the inside of the package and a photo of the damaged product - In the case of an incomplete package or one that does not conform to the order: a photo of the entire package, its label and a photo of the contents of the package
